 The purpose of the Planning Directors Association of Orange County is to provide a forum where issues of mutual interest can be brought forth and discussed, where new concepts of planning can be presented, and where differing standards of development between jurisdictions can be reviewed and methods of agreement identified leading to a better coordination of planning objectives. 

Activities included Director roundtable discussions and educational workshops, an annual Planning Officials Forum for planning professionals, collaboration with professional planning organizations, and other educational, social, and networking opportunities.

 The Planning Directors Association of Orange County is a not-for-profit organization consisting of the Community Development / Planning Directors within Orange County and their staff. The organization's goals are to train, educate, mentor, and grow the profession through regular events and activities.
